A downloadable game for Windows

As the research facility continues to be torn apart by your now infected co-workers you sit slumped against the wall, shot in the leg and left for dead by that double crossing lab assistant. Death is inevitable, but you aren't going down without a fight.

Research & Dismemberment is a short survival game that pits you against hordes of zombies. Unable to walk your only form of defense is a Six-Shooter and your nerve.

Focus on your targets, manage your ammo and take advantage of environmental hazards to reach your high score.

Basically you can't move, the game is really dark, the reload is too slow, and it's really hard to hit something(quite often target doesn't hit)

I understand the concept, but it would be way better if you made the player survive a little longer. The game needs really quickly, not even a chance to feel something.

I don't know where me can write in private messages here, so I'll leave my ideas here. Still the same bunker underground (or maybe not underground, I don't know). The plot is quite simple: The main character is a local security operative, all his colleagues are infected and previously closed by the main character himself in the armory. During this closure, zombies tried to grab him, one of them grabbed a grenade on his uniform and pulled the pin, the explosion miraculously did not kill the main character, the first aid kit partially saved his situation, but now he can't walk and he has no medicine. He have only an MP5 with one magazine and a revolver that he took from a dead officer. The military will not come soon, it's time to kill as many as possible. And now to the mechanics: the MP5 has 30 rounds, but the cartridges for it are rare, they will need to be extracted by shooting at the store's model on a zombie bulletproof vest (there will be a new type of zombie: a zombie security operative, damage to the body is reduced due to the bulletproof vest, usually a cap with a security service emblem on the head). MP5 bullets will kill zombies in the head for longer, but will have a good stopping effect. Sometimes there will be a grenade on a zombie's bulletproof vest, shooting at it, the main character will add it to his interface (because in real life it cannot be blown up, but if it is difficult to add a grenade, then use a grenade explosion through shooting at it, it will kill the nearest zombies and zombies who have a grenade), will be added nearby With the MP5 magazine interface, the revolver cartridges will be endless, but the number of cartridges in the drum leaves much to be desired:D. You can leave the zombie exit mechanics the same as in the original, the 3rd part of the game can be done with movement as in slot machines (Example of the game: Operation GHOST arcade game). in part 3, we will play as the military clearing the bunker of zombies, you can even make a reference to the first game when the military finds the this poor scientist with a wounded leg, but it will be difficult to do because of technical reasons and because I don't know how to make games, so forget what I said:(

Game description from my point of view: This is an interesting endless shooter (my record: 22 zombies killed. I don't even know if there is an end to the game after the light goes out and the flashlight becomes the only thing that helps to see everything), where we have a revolver for 6 rounds, where we have to aim straight and miss the zombies less, otherwise there won't be enough ammo/the character won't have time to reload, and we'll have to start over.

Now impressions: I completely liked the game, I played all evening long and obviously I will not delete the game, I will play it when I have free time. I learned about the game thanks to "LegendTheItcher", so some praise to him that I found this diamond that runs even on low-power laptops (thank you for the good optimization of the game).

There is also 1 flaw: The exploding cylinder on the left (next to the crate on which the machine gun is lies) ignores the damage on the right side of the gas cylinder.

I also have one idea about the game, but it will be slightly different from the original game (but don't worry, most of the mechanics and logic of the game will be preserved). If you are interested, I will try to explain the idea to you. Good luck in life!

Thank you very much for the kind words! You described the game perfectly and it's great to see someone replay it to increase their score. We are open to hearing any ideas to expand on it.

The most interesting thing is that when I downloaded WinRAR, the game with pleasure downloaded to my computer, so I understood what the problem was :D

Nice! I'm glad you got it all sorted, I hope you enjoy the game.

Why does the download link not allow to download the game? The file reaches 100% of the download, and then some kind of failure occurs, due to which the download gives an error

I just tested the download and it seems to work fine, must be an issue on your end.

That guy should've done what the protag in Endoparasitic did! Just crawl around the zombies at hypersonic speeds while unloading into the zombies with his revolver!

Anywho, the game is short and fun! Not much to say besides me wishing there was a upgrade system for games or maybe traps... Nevertheless, a great game to kill some time with!

(+1)

Thanks for playing! If we ever expand on it in the future we could definitely look into an upgrade system of some kind.

There is a fair amount of things to expand on if you wish to spend anymore time on your game here. But I do look forward to what changes you may make in the future!

nice retro

Thanks for playing!
